Fr. G. Gregory Gay III, C.M. Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission, known as the Vincentian Fathers and Brothers and the Daughters of Charity, was the keynote speaker who spoke about the triple A’s of the Vincentian family: Accompaniment, Advocacy and Action. Monsignor Raymond East, pastor of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in the Anacostia Park section of Washington, DC spoke about service and evangelization. He encouraaged us to go outside of our comfort zone to evangelize. He said, we must IGNITE, INVITE AND EXCITE! Sister Carol Keehan, D.C., CEO – Catholic Health Association of the United States provided a presentation on the affects of our health-are system; and, its pros & cons as it affects the marginalized in our society.
