2009 May Day at St. Ann’s Infant and Maternity Home
On May 2, 2009, the Archdiocese of Washington Ladies of Charity crowned the Blessed Mother for May Day in the chapel at St. Ann’s Infant and Maternity Home. Rev. Carl Dianda was the celebrant.
The luncheon was well attended with approx. 100 participants. The ladies from the District of Columbia, Calvert, Charles, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties gathered for lunch and brought layette items for the children. A 50/50 raffle was held and gifts were raffled too.
Ms. Maryann Rooney, President of the Archdiocese of Washington Ladies of Charity thanked all the members who came out to support this fundraiser. The May Day Celebration is the only fundraiser given by the Archdiocese during the year. It was well attended and a good time was had by all.
